How to properly prepare your Live Shopping session
Live shopping is growing fast — which is exactly why knowing how to improve your lives and deliver a quality experience to your customers matters more than ever. In this video, Karine walks you through three great reasons why rehearsing before a live shopping session is essential.
The first reason: it lets you stress-test your script. When writing, you need to think about the host's physical movements — because nothing about that is improvised. Rehearsing ensures everything will work smoothly on the day of the shoot.
The second reason: the technical side. You need to verify that all equipment is in good working order and that batteries are charged. You should also check that the space is large enough for camera operators to move freely. Lighting and sound must be tested too, to avoid any issues during the live.
The last reason: the host's delivery. Rehearsing in real conditions allows everyone to find their footing. Running a mock live is a great way to make sure everything goes as planned.
In short, rehearsing before a live shopping session is essential to improving your production and offering your customers a quality experience. Don't hesitate to ask questions, and subscribe for more tips.

Someone's telling me to use the tablet? I don't have my glasses! (bleep)
Can you test the hairdryer? Oh that's a tongue twister! Of course! Hot setting and cold... here we go!
Oh, we're live... I'm Karine and my mission is to help you improve your shoots.
I'm going to give you three great reasons why rehearsing matters.
First reason: you get to stress-test your script. Will everything I've written actually work on shoot day?
Have you thought about the gestures? Picture the host moving from left to right... you need to plan that when you write — it doesn't happen by itself.
20, 40, 60, 90 minutes of live — imagine, there's no room for improv!
Second reason: the technical side. Check all your gear — cameras, are they working? Are the batteries charged?
It sounds basic, but it's non-negotiable. No battery, no shoot!
If the space is too small, camera operators will struggle to move around — and that's exactly what we want to avoid.
Lighting — is it strong enough? Are there any shadows?
Sound... oh, sound... If you're using a wireless kit with a lavalier mic, make sure the batteries are charged.
These are small tips, but they can save your entire shoot.
Connectivity — do you have full signal coverage where you are?
And last: the host's delivery. Rehearse in real conditions so everyone can find their marks.
The platform lets you do this — use it!
Run a mock live to anticipate everything.
